  1. Central Department of Microbiology, Tribhuvan University with the financial support of University Grants Commission (UGC) Nepal organized 5 days workshop on "Malaria laboratory diagnosis capacity strengthening training" to ten microbiology teachers of different colleges/departments on 26-30 June 2017. The training programme was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Sudha Tripathi, Rector, Tribhuvan University and facilitated by faculties of Central Department of Microbiology and expert from Vector Borne Disease Research and Training Center (VBDRTC). Standard WHO training package was followed and standard slide series were used for the training. Prof. Dr. Ram Prasad Khatiwada, Dean, IoST, TU distributed the certificates to the participants.
  2. Central Department of Microbiology, Tribhuvan University with the financial support of University Grants Commission (UGC) Nepal organized 3 days workshop on "Training programme in reference writing in research" on 3-5 July 2017. Resource persons of the training were from Central Department of Microbiology and participants were from microbiology teaching colleges of Kathmandu valley and outside Kathmandu valley. Prof. Dr. Ram Prasad Khatiwada, Dean, Institute of Science and Technology, Tribhuvan University, inaugurated the programme and distributed certificates to the participants.

  4. Two Days Workshop in Research methodology, 11-12 Shrawan, 2071 (27-28 July, 2014), Financially supported by Second Higher Education Project (SHEP), Smriti Bhawan, CDM, TU
  5. American Society for Microbiology (ASM) and  Central Department of  Microbiology (CDM), Tribhuvan University (TU) Collaborative Workshop on Scientific Writing and Publishing held on 23rd June 2013. CDM TU in collaboration with American Society for Microbiology (ASM) organized a half a day workshop on Scientific Writing and Publishing, with an objective of providing basics on effective writing of a research manuscript for publication in peer reviewed international journals. The program was facilitated by ASM Ambassador to Nepal. The program was participated by more than 30 participants, mostly young faculties and researchers from colleges affiliated to Tribhuvan University.
