It is our great pleasure to announce the First National Poster Presentation Competition of Microbiology Undergraduate Students of Nepal on 5th Baiskakh, 2073 (17th April, 2016) on the auspicious occasion of Silver Jubilee of establishment of Central Department of Microbiology, Tribhuvan University, Kirtipur.  The inaugural programme was held on  6th Baiskakh, 2073 18th Apr, 2016), which was inaugurated  by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Tirtha Raj Khaniya. The Poster Presentation Competition was inaugurated by Prof. Chirika Shobha Tamrakar, Dean, TU and was evaluated by Prof. Dr. Arvin Madhavrao Deshmukh, Head, Microbiology Department, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Osmanabad, India & President, Microbiologists Society, India. On Felicitation programme the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Tirtha Raj Khaniya graced the programme by felicitating to previous HoDs Late Prof. Dr. Shital Raj Basnyat, Prof. Dr. Achyut Prasad Sharma, Dr. Prakash Ghimire, Prof. Dr. Anjana Singh, Prof. Dr. Dwij Raj Bhatta), Prof. Dr. Arvind Madhavrao Deshmukh as an expert, and  staff who have served for 25 years at TU (Mr. Raiman Shakya, Mr. Madhukar Thapa, Mr. Akal Man Maharjan and Mr. Shyam Bahadur Tamang) was performed. Distribution of 1st, 2nd, & 3rd prizes  for the winners were presented by the Dean, Prof. Chirika Shobha Tamrakar.
